PET resin is a copolymer produced from terephthalic acid (PTA), isophthalic acid (IPA), and ethylene glycol (EG) raw materials.
With its new MTR (Melt to Resin) plant, commissioned in 2020 with a capacity of 315 kt/year, SASA has added bottle-type PET Resin to its product portfolio. Bottle-type PET Resin production, thanks to MTR technology, achieves the desired high viscosity product in a single-stage process, unlike the traditional two-stage method.
