Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), SASA's main product, is a thermoplastic polymer obtained by the polymerization of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) with monoethylene glycol (MEG).
The SASA product range includes the following PET polymer chips suitable for the following end uses:
POY production, BFC production, staple fiber, yarn and nonwoven production.
All types of film applications, especially food packaging.
Production of various plastic materials.
Industrial applications requiring high strength, such as cord fabric
Manufacturing of medical device components and medical supplies
Textile-type chips are produced with IV values ranging from 0.420 to 0.900 (dl/g), in semi-matte and super-glossy finishes. Super-glossy chips are spontaneously crystallized and spherical due to the production technology. Semi-matte chips, on the other hand, have an amorphous structure and a cylindrical cut.
In semi-matte products, Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) is used as a mattifying agent.
We produce PET chips used in BOPET and cast film processes for the packaging industry. PET chips suitable for cast film production are used in sheet manufacturing. In chips produced for BOPET, conductivity adjustment can also be done with a pinning agent.
In addition to our products containing anti-blocking agents that prevent blockage, we also offer products containing Barium Sulfate (BaSO₄) suitable for opaque film production.
We also have antimony-free PET products in our portfolio that are suitable for various end-uses.
